ABSORPTION IN BANK OF BARODA ON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION

Final placement at Bank of Baroda:

On successful completion of the course within the stipulated time period, the students will be awarded the “POST-GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN BANKING AND FINANCE” from Manipal University and they will be finally absorbed in the Bank as Probationary officers in JMG/S-I and can be posted anywhere in India as per Bank’s discretion.

Emoluments on final placement:-

After successful completion of the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance in the Baroda Manipal School of Banking and subsequent placement in Bank of Baroda, candidates will draw a salary as applicable to officers in Junior Management Grade/ Scale I which is presently in the scale of Rs. 14500-600x7/18700-700x2/20100-800x7/25700 (under revision). They will also be eligible for DA, HRA/rent reimbursement & CCA, as per rules in force from time to time. At present, the initial monthly emoluments of Junior Management Grade/ Scale I Officer, including DA, HRA, CCA are approximately Rs. 30,500/- in a Metropolitan Centre.

The gross annual salary on joining the bank will be in the range of approx.Rs. 4 Lacs p.a. . (Salary component) in a metropolitan centre. Additionally, officers in JMG/S-I are also entitled to various benefits / perquisites, facilities from the Bank like various reimbursements/perquisites, concessional loan facilities for different purposes, LTC / LFC, holiday home, medical facilities for self and dependant family members, etc.

The above mentioned salary / perquisites, benefits, etc. may increase further in future, by the time the candidate actually joins the service of the Bank after the one year programme duration period.

FEES REIMBURSEMENT

The fees amount of Rs. 3.45 Lacs will be reimbursed by Bank after completion of -05- years of service with the Bank. This is applicable for the students of upcoming batches (Batch-13 onwards) joining after September-2014. Hence, on completion of 60 months of service with Bank of Baroda, the Bank will reimburse of the course fees.

DEPLOYMENT

Upon absorption in the Bank as Probationary officers in JMG/S-I on successful completion of their 1 year Post Graduate Diploma course in Banking and Finance, candidates shall be deployed in Branches / offices on an All India basis. However, the Bank shall take into consideration special skills acquired by any candidate, past experience, caliber of any employee for any particular stream as demonstrated during the course of the programme into consideration while making the deployment decision.

The choice of branches / offices of the Bank will be as per the needs and business requirements of the Bank. The Bank shall also take into account the place of domicile of the candidates though this aspect shall not be a reason for definite posting in any place and the bank cannot guarantee placements as per the place of domicile of the candidates. 

Specialization in a functional area is decided by the Bank based on the prevailing needs and business requirements. However, all the officers who have passed out from the Baroda Manipal school of Banking, by virtue of their special one year training and background shall definitely be placed in important, critical and challenging assignments across the Bank.

LINKAGE TO MBA / HIGHER DEGREE PROGRAMMES OF MANIPAL UNIVERSITY

On successful completion of the I year Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) from BMSB and after joining the Bank , candidates will also have an opportunity to pursue MBA / higher degree programs offered by specific universities within the Manipal Global Education Framework (MGEF). Such programs are offered as enriching and convenient workplace learning initiatives through distance education and online modes. Credits accruing on completion of the PGDBF qualify for recognition and lateral entry into specific MGEF programs. Further details can be obtained at the appropriate time by POs from counselors of MGEF.
