"BarodaHealth" (Mediclaim Insurance Policy) for Bank’s Account holders.
With a view to offer value added services to our customers, we have developed a co-branded insurance product called as "BarodaHealth" (Mediclaim Insurance Policy) for Bank's Account holders w.e.f 23rd February 2006 available at all our branches across the country.
What is BarodaHealth Policy?
It is a Group Medical Insurance Scheme, which takes care of the hospitalisation expenses upto the amount of sum insured, in respect of the following eventualities.
- Any illness / disease
- Accidental injury and/ or any ailment.
- Any surgery that is required in respect of any disease or accident that has occurred during the policy period
- Pre-existing diseases covered after three consecutive continuous claims free policy years in respect of all diseases provided there was no hospitalisation for pre-existing ailments during such three years of insurance.
Key Benefits :
- Low premium.
- In this co-branded product, insurance company shall charge premium for only one person and extend Medical Health insurance cover to other family members (1+3) consisting of policyholder, spouse and 2 dependent children up to the amount insured.
- A member or all the members in insured family can avail hospitalisation benefits during the policy period, to the extent of aggregate sum not exceeding the sum insured.
- Policy holders are eligible for Income Tax exemption under section 80 D as per Income Tax Rules.
- Cost of Health check up is allowed @ 1% of sum insured after completion of 3 continuous claim free years of Policy.
Terms and Conditions :
- This policy is available only to account holders of our Bank.
- Coverage can be obtained for the family of 1+3 by paying a single premium.
- The family for this purpose means self, spouse and two dependent children.
Non-earning son/daughter upto the age of 25 years are considered dependent (scholarship amount is not considered as income.) Married daughters even below the age of 25 years are not considered dependent.
- Insurance coverage i.e. sum assured may range from Rs 50.000/ to Rs 5.00 lacs per family of 1+3.
- Upper age limit of primary member (first named person) is allowed up to 65 years.
- The insured will get cashless card from the Third Party Administrators (TPA), which can be used at the time of hospitalisation for admission and the hospital bill payment up to the sum insured will be taken care of by the TPA directly.
- In case of hospitalisation of children below 12 years a lump sum amount of Rs 1000/- as out of pocket expenses to any of the parent is payable.
- Ambulance charges up to Rs 1000/- is reimbursable, additionally.
- The following documents will be handed over to each insured:
- Original Receipt (can be used as proof for claiming IT rebate U/s 80D of Income Tax Act.)
- Copy of Proposal Form
- Policy Terms & Conditions
- TPA guide book.
These documents form a set and shall constitute the policy of insurance issued to the individual Account holder.
