As part of the Centenary Celebrations a new deposit product has been introduced effective from 05.08.2007 offering higher rate as compared to card rate for a term of one year (exact). The features of the new product are as under:
- Tenure : One Year (exact).
- Rate of Interest :
General Public - 9.00% p.a.
Senior Citizens - 9.50% p.a.
Staff - 10.00% p.a.
- Mode of interest payment : MIP / RIP / RIRD
- Minimum amount : Rs. 25000/-
- Maximum amount : Rs. One Crore.
The above-mentioned higher rates will be available for the tenure of one year (exact) and for term deposits of Rs. 25000/- and above subject to maximum of Rs. One Crore per single deposit. The card rates will be applicable on all term deposits not satisfying these criteria.
Interest on pre-payment of the deposits shall be paid as per extant guidelines and rates as per normal card rates.
