AMITY Leadership Award for Sectoral Excellence in Banking

Amity Business School, one of the leading B-schools of the country, conferred Dr. Anil K. Khandelwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda with the Amity Leadership Award for Sectoral Excellence in Banking on March 22nd 2007 at the Annual Management festival and Research Conference, Endeavour’2007 held at the Amity Business School, NOIDA. Dr. Anil K. Khandelwal received the Award on behalf of the Bank.

SKOCH Challenger Award for Change Management

Dr.Anil K.Khandelwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda was awarded the SKOCH Challenger Award for Change Management at the 5th Annual SKOCH summit held in New Delhi on March 16, 2007.

Dr. C. Rangarajan, Chairman Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India presented the award to Dr.Anil K.Khandelwal.

The SKOCH Challenger Awards are independently instituted by SKOCH Consultancy services and adjudged to salute best practices.

Dr.Anil K.Khandelwal, Chairman and Managing Director, was awarded the SKOCH Challenger Award for Change Management in recognition of the multifarious change initiatives unleashed by him in the Bank, which not only changed the Bank’s logo and its outlook but also infused a new dynamism in the Bank and changed the very way the Bank functions.

IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award

Bank of Baroda was awarded the IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award 2006, certificate of merit in the service category at a function in Mumbai on March 14,2007

IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award Criteria instituted since 1996, have been used by hundreds of Indian organizations to stay abreast of ever-increasing competition and to improve performance. The Criteria emphasize: openness and transparency in governance and ethics; the need to create value for customers and the business; and the challenges of rapid innovation and capitalizing on knowledge assets.

The IMC Quality Awards Committee subjects the Award applicants to a stringent evaluation, short listing and review process through the IMC Quality Cell and a Board of Examiners consisting of quality experts and senior managers from industry, academia, healthcare and consulting organizations.

SPJIMR Marketing Impact Awards (SMIA) 2007

Bank of Baroda was declared winner of the prestigious SMIA 2007 award in the Marketing Effectiveness Conclave conducted by S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) on Feb 10, 2007.

SPJIMR is rated among the top ten Business schools in the country. The institute presents SPJIMR Marketing Impact awards (SMIA) for innovative marketing initiatives that have created significant impact for the organization and the industry.

The SMIA awards are based on papers submitted by corporates/NGOs on best practices demonstrating marketing impact and effectiveness. The papers /case studies are based on marketing initiatives taken by the organization to successfully solve a business problem or to exploit a market opportunity. Shortlisted Entries for SMIA 2007 were from ITC, Bank of Baroda, HCL and Akanksha Art Workshops.

The Employer Branding Awards 2007

The Employer Branding Awards 2007 for excellence in Human Resources was awarded on January 13,2007 to Bank of Baroda in the category of Managing Health at Work.

The Employer Branding Awards 2007 for excellence in Human Resources have been instituted by the Star of the Industry Awards Foundation in association with Indiatimes and ITM Business School.

These awards are given to India’s best employers for excellence in various HR areas like Talent Management, HR Strategy, Application of IT in HR, Innovation in recruitment, Innovation in retention strategy, Career development, Managing health of employees and Global HR Strategy.

Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI) Awards

The ABCI is an esteemed organisation constituted by business communication professionals and experts from elite corporate companies for the purpose of encouraging professionals in communication and for upgrading knowledge and skills in the area. In this pursuit, ABCI has instituted awards for various forms of communication.

Elite Category Award for "Excellence in Marketing and Brand Communication" 2005:

Bank of Baroda won the prestigious "Elite Category Award" for "Excellence in Marketing and Brand Communication" for 2005 for Bank’s pioneering re-branding exercise and brand communication, among stiff competition from private sector corporates, banks, PSUs. This is a special award given by ABCI to organizations for their excellence in brand and marketing communication.
 
His Excellency, the Governor of Maharashtra, Mr. S.M. Krishna, presenting the award to Mr.Dipankar Mookerjee,General Manager (HR & Marketing) and Mr.Ajai Kumar, General Manager (Retail Banking).

Bank also received the following awards from Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI) under different categories:
