  • At what frequency will the client receive his/her transaction statement from CBODPO?

    The client will receive a holding statement from CBODPO/DP once in a quarter. If the client has done any transaction during the quarter, he/she will receive the statement within fifteen days of the transaction.

  • What is the advantage of a debit card?
    • The debit card provides tremendous convenience in payments and helps the customers reduce the amount of cash they need to carry. Besides customers always stays in control of his/her finances as they can spend only what they have in their account. It also gives unparalleled access to his account, whenever they want, wherever they go.
    • No interest/service charges.
    • Suits to the Indian psyche of limited expenditure.
    • Debit card is not included in the list of Compulsory Income Tax Return Filing.
    • Usable at POS and hence no carry cash.
    • Same card usable at ATMs.

  • Is rescheduling of payments applicable for all kinds of Terms Loans?

    It is applicable for all Term Loans in all the Segments, irrespective of the Segment and the tenor of the Term Loans.

  • Is collateral security required?

    No collaterals/third-party guarantee for loans up to Rs. 100 lakhs which are covered under CGTMSE. For other accounts which are not covered under CGTMSE, the Bank may stipulate collaterals as per Bank’s guidelines.

  • Why should I give my bank account details at the time of account opening?

    It is for the protection of your interest. Your bank account number will be mentioned on the interest or dividend warrant you are entitled to so that such warrant cannot be encashed by anyone else. Further, a DP cannot open the account if the bank account number is not given.

  • What information will Bank of Baroda report to the IRS or local tax authority?

    The information reported the local tax authority will depend on the FATCA classification of the customer. This information will typically be of a personal nature in relation to the substantial U.S, owners of a business (for example: name, address, U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number), and of a financial nature (e.g. account number, account balance/value). We will be communicating with the affected customers in detail on these requirements.

  • Which accounts are eligible for purchasing Baroda Reloadable Card?

    All KYC compliant operational accounts are eligible for purchasing Baroda Reloadable Card. The table below shows the types of accounts eligible:

  • What is a Virtual Payment Address (VPA)?

    ‘Virtual Payment Address’ means a unique payment identifier issued by a PSP (Application provider) to a payer or a receiver that, among other things, can be used to identify, debit or credit a bank account. VPA contain PSP handler for example sachin@barodampay. There is no need to share your account or debit card credentials to receive payments by using VPA. Each VPA has to be linked with a bank account.

  • Channel wise details for hot listing of Debit Card by the customer through corresponding channels?
    • Contact centre/toll free numbers 1800 5700.

      Steps to be followed:

      1. Press 2 to Continue.
      2. Press 1 Lost Card Option.
      3. Press 1 to Continue for Blocking the Debit Card.
      4. Press 1 to Block the Debit Card.
      5. Enter 14-digit Account number.
      6. Enter last 4-digit of the Debit card.
      7. Press 1 to confirm the Blocking of Debit Card.

      SMS of blocked Debit card will be sent at your registered mobile number.

    • Mobile banking (bob World).
      1. Login to Baroda bob World.
      2. Click on “Cards” given on the bottom of the home page.
      3. Select “Debit Card Hot listing”.
      4. All the Debit Cards (debit card in OPEN status) linked with customer ID will be displayed with BLOCK CARDbutton provided below each card.
      5. Click Block Card for the debit card to be blocked.
      6. Enter transaction PIN and click Okay.
      7. Card will be blocked instantly, and the customer will get success confirmation POP up on the screen and Text message on the customers registered mobile number.
      8. To unblock the debit card customer will have to request at his branch.
    • WhatsApp banking.
      1. Say “Hi” to Bank of Baroda’s WhatsApp Banking Number 8433 888 777.
      2. Select Block Debit Card option.
      3. Now, select card number for blocking.
      4. Click confirm to block card.
      5. Card blocked successfully.
      6. SMS triggered to customer registered mobile number.
    • Net banking (bob World Internet)
      1. Login to bob World Internet.
      2. Click on “Services” tab.
      3. Select “Service Requests”.
      4. Select “New Requests”.
      5. Click on “Operative Accounts”.
      6. Select “Block Debit Card”.
      7. Select the debit card to be blocked and click continue.
      8. Select reason of Blocking, enter remarks and transaction password.
      9. Click “Submit”.
      10. Card will be blocked instantly, and the customer will get confirmation on the screen.
      11. To unblock the debit card customer will have to request at his branch.
    • Nearest Bank of Baroda branch.

    Request for blocking of debit card can be submitted by visiting any nearest Bank of Baroda Branch.
