Implementation of Prime Minister's 15 point programme for the welfare of Minorities.

Bank of Baroda is actively participating in implementation of Prime Minister's 15 Point Programme for the welfare of minorities.

As per the directives of Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services, all Commercial Banks have to increase their Priority Sector Lending to minorities under Priority Sector to 15% of the total Priority Sector lending. The level of 15% is to be maintained till 2012-13.

Government of India, Ministry of Finance has selected -121- Minority Concentrated Districts as well as -338- Towns in the country for giving focussed attention in the area of lending to minorities.

Accordingly, our Bank has prepared the Road-Map for achieving the targets of 15% of credit to Minority Communities under Total Priority Sector by the end of 2010-11 and maintaining till 2012-13
