BARODA SWAROJGAR VIKAS SANSTHAN (BARODA RSETI)


Baroda Swarojgar Vikas Sansthan is a trust set by the bank registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 and The Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 with an objective to impart training to unemployed youths particularly from Rural and Semi Urban areas to engage them to in self employment enterprises.

MAJOR AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

  1. To identify, orient, motivate, train youth and impart them the knowledge and skill for taking up self employment ventures.
  2. To develop attitude for working in rural areas, in rural development projects.
  3. To assist trained youth in self employment as far as possible, in obtaining credit from bank / other financial institution, and to assist them in successfully setting up their own ventures.
  4. To conduct various training programmes (either independent or in collaboration with other organization) connected with rural technology, rural development and entrepreneurship development.
  5. To provide counseling and consultancy guidance with all possible help to the youth in the field of Self Employment and Rural Development.
  6. Work for development of villagers and quality of life in rural areas.

PROGRESS IN SETTING UP OF BSVS (BARODA-RSETI) UNITS: :

  1. Bank has embarked upon an ambitious programme of setting up of BSVS (R-SETI) centres across the country with a focus on expanding its network in our lead districts.
  2. The BSVS trust founded in 2003 by our Bank for promoting Rural Entrepreneurship has now branched out to 49 BSVS centres with pan India coverage in 7 states of which -16- are in Uttarpradesh, -2- in Uttrakhand, -12- in Rajasthan, -14- in Gujarat, -2- in Madhya Pradesh, -2- in Bihar and -1- in Maharashtra state.
  3. Our Ajmer (Rajasthan) R-SETI is dedicated exclusively for training women beneficiaries, and managed by women Director.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR TRAINING PROGRAMMES:

Any unemployed youth in the age group of 18-45 years, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, gender and economic status, having aptitude to take up self employment or wage employment and having some basic knowledge in the related field can undergo training which is totally free.

So far our BSVS centers have organized trainings in more than 65 activities. Some of the major activities are:

  5. Refrigerator repairing
  6. Photography & Videography
  7. -2- wheeler repairing
  8. Mushroom Production

  4. SHG Bank Linkage
  5. Soft Toys and Decorative Items Making
  6. Food Processing Techniques
  7. Medicinal & Aromatic Plants

Shri. S S Mundra , CMD, Bank of Baroda, visited stall of entrepreneurs at AGRA.He hopes for confident, vibrant & successful entrepreneur from 49 Baroda RSETIs. The stall was set up by the candidates trained and supported by BSVS Nainital.
Directors of -7- Baroda RSETIs (BSVS centres) were Felicitated while celebration of RSETI Diwas at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 21st November 2013 by Ministry of Rural Development.
